BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Angela Fung is a Clinical Chemist and Lead for Point-of-Care Testing, Chemistry at St. Paul’s Hospital and Mount Saint Joseph Hospital. She serves as the co-chair for the Joint Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) and Providence Health Care (PHC) Regional Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) Multidisciplinary Committee. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of British Columbia and serves as the Course Coordinator for PATH407 undergraduate course for the Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences (BMLSc) program. Dr. Fung is actively involved in regional, regulatory, academic, and national and international professional societies committees. Her research interests include quality assurance, best practices for POCT, and utility of middleware and data science to improve efficiency and quality in the clinical laboratory.
